- Description
-
- Evil aliens are dismayed by the progress being made on America's
- International Space Station Alpha. They fear we will become a threat
- to them once we become a true space faring power. To stop this, they
- have invaded the Clear Lake Development Facility (CLDF) where the space
- station is being designed and built!
-
- They descended from space and blasted a hole through the second floor
- roof and entered in force, killing anyone who resisted. A short radio
- transmission from one of the survivors indicated the engineers and
- personnel put up a good fight but were all either killed or mutated
- into servents of their alien masters. Some alien structure of unknown
- purpose was being erected in the high bay area; human to mutant
- machines were installed in one of the computer labs. The radio
- operator's last comment, just before the sound of a chainsaw, was "We
- tried, but our only weapons were VAX workstations."
-
- Your mission is to infiltrate the CLDF and kill all of the aliens
- inside. They have erected a wall around the facility, but we've found
- a crack in the wall you will be inserted in. When you complete your
- mission, find your way to the extraction point at the end of the red walkway.
-
- This is yet another blow to America's International Space Station, but
- perhaps you can at least save humanity.
-
- Good luck.
-
-
- Disclamer: Any resemblance between the actual persons working in the
- CLDF or on the ISSA project, and the alien creatures depicted in this
- WAD, is purely coincidental.
-
- This WAD is based on the CLDF1.WAD released earlier this year. CLDF2DM
- was upgraded to DooM ][ and specially modified for Deathmatch. It is
- good for both single, coop, and deathmatch. This level isn't as large
- as it looks, and transporters were added to easily move from one
- killing field to another. ;-)
-
- Have fun,
-

-
- NOTE: No special REJECT effects are used. This is a large PWAD with
- almost 400 sectors.
-
- Difficulty Settings: Level 1 was designed for Deathmatch 1.0 with
- respawn; only ammo carrying monsters inhabit this difficulty level.
- Other difficulty levels add more monsters and less health and weapons.
-
- Deathmatch Notes: There are 10 deathmatch starts. Each is not too far
- from at least the chain gun or super shotgun. Power weapons will be
- more difficult to come by but there are at least two rocket launchers
- and two plasma guns. There is a BFG available, but not on the easy or
- hard setting. There are 4 main combat areas and the design is fairly
- open so movement between them is easy. During playtest we decided
- the upstairs area was not used much for deathmatch, so all deathmatch
- starts are either in the lower floor or the high bay.
